How can Insights protect my margins?

Gain a comprehensive overview of your key metrics: effortlessly track price changes and spending over time.

The new Insights section provides metrics that summarize spending trends across invoices, products, and categories, enabling better management of vendor expenses.

⚠️ You must be subscribed to Pro or Premium for your non-regulated invoice data to be included in these metrics.

Use the Location and Time Period filters at the top of the screen to load respective metrics. If you do not see any data, try changing these filters.

The insights summary depends on if the Received Date of invoices is within the Time Period selected. If an invoice's received date is not within the selected time period, then the invoice data will not be calculated into the summary.

Total Spend

  • Total amount spent on products.
  • Calculated using received invoices with dates that are within range of time period chosen.
  • The difference in spending between the current and previous time period is displayed in the tile’s bottom right corner.

Has your spending increased or decreased from the previous time period?

Average Spend Per Invoice

  • Average amount spent per invoice.
  • The difference in spending between the current and previous time period is displayed in the tile’s bottom right corner.

Are you purchasing more products per invoice over time?

Invoices Per Week

  • Average number of invoices received from Sunday to Saturday.
  • The difference in invoices received between the current and previous time period is displayed in the tile’s bottom right corner.

Are you getting more or less deliveries?

Total Spend Over Time

  • Total spending over time.
  • Hover over each bar to see the total amount spent per week.
  • Have you spent more or less each week on products?
  • How is your spending helping to meet margins?

My Top 5 Vendors

  • Top 5 vendors by invoice totals.
  • Hover over the bars for more detail on the amount spent per vendor.
  • Premium members can click View All Vendors to open the Vendor Summary page. Review invoice counts and amounts spent for all vendors over time.

  • How much are you spending with each of your top vendors?

Total Spend by Top Product Category

  • Total spend based on product categories like wine, spirits, beer, RTDs, non-alcoholic, etc.
  • Premium members can click View All Categories to open the Category Summary page. Review spending details per product category over time. 
  • What is your total spend on each product category?
  • Are the products being purchased aligning with the product categories trending in the market?

My Top 10 Products

  • Top 10 products purchased based on your total spend for the chosen time period.
  • Tile sizes equate to the total spent on the products. They are arranged from highest to lowest spend - left to right.
  • Premium members can click View All Products to open the Product Summary page. Review details regarding products purchased over time.
  • Learn more about your product purchases in Product Analysis.
  • What are your top purchased products for the chosen time period?
  • Are there other products to purchase that would decrease your spending and increase profits?
