Vendor Analysis contains two types of insights in relation to your vendors: Vendor Comparison and Vendor Snapshot. These insights are calculated using regulated invoices only (i.e., alcohol).

The tabs provide the following information:

Vendor Comparison

  • The total spend and date of the most recently received invoice for the highest paid vendor.
  • The top 5 vendors in terms of dollars spent.
  • Overview of each vendor's pricing per product category.

Vendor Snapshot

  • Total spend per vendor chosen.
  • Date of most recently received invoice.
  • Top products bought and top products by spend.
  • Top distributed products.

  • The top vendor by dollars spent.
  • Total Spend indicates the amount spent on products from the vendor.
  • Last Invoice Date provides the date of the most recently received invoice.

My Top 5 Distributors

  • Top 5 distributors based on total amount spent.
  • Hover over each bar to see spend amount on each distributor.
  • How much are you spending with your top distributors?
  • Where can you trim costs?

Vendor Snapshot

  • List of all vendor relationships and the following vendor insights:
    • Total amount paid to each vendor.
    • The average ounce cost per product category (beer, wine, spirits).
    • Average number of invoices received per week.
    • Date of most recently received invoice.

How do similar vendors compare with each other in terms of distribution prices?

 

In the Vendor Snapshot tab, you can filter by vendor using the dropdown to the right of the page above the insights.

Total Spend

  • Total amount spent on products.
  • Based off of received invoices with dates that are within range of time period chosen at the top of the page.
  • The difference in spending between the current and previous time period is displayed in the tile’s bottom right corner.
  • Represents regulated invoices only (i.e. alcohol).

Has overall spending increased or decreased from the previous time period?

 

Last Invoice Date

Date of the last invoice that’s been received.

How often are we working with this distributor?

% Spent Compared to All Distributors

Percentage indicating spending patterns with selected vendor per product category (beer, wine, spirits) versus overall spending patterns with all vendors.

Are we over- or under-investing with a particular vendor?

Total Spend by Product Category

  • Total amount spent per product category with chosen vendor (beer, wine, spirits).
  • Hover over the pie slices to see the amounts spent on each product category.

How does the spending in a specific product category compare to spending in other product categories?

Total Spend Over Time

  • Total amount spent per product category over time period chosen.
  • Hover over each bar to see total spent per product category for the increment of time.

What is the product category purchasing trends over time?

Top Products by Distribution

Highest to lowest percentage of products bought from the vendor chosen.

What are your top purchased products with the chosen vendor?

Products by Price Segment

  • Total count of products bought within specific price ranges.
  • Hover over bars to see count of products bought.
  • Should we optimize our product assortment?
  • Is there a high demand for specific products within a certain price range?

Top Products by Spend

  • Top 10 products arranged by spend amount during a selected time period.
  • Top products are illustrated by tile size, arranged by column (highest spend, going top to bottom).
  • Are the products being purchased the most still in high demand?
  • Are there other products to purchase that would decrease your spending and increase profits?
