The product catalog helps you stay on top of the products you sell.
The Product Catalog section displays a list of the products retrieved from your invoices from the last 15 months. It shows line-item data such as distributor name, product description, general ledger codes, etc. Choose to see a certain number of products using the Rows per Page dropdown below the table.
The catalog can help you stay on top of the products you sell on its own or with a back-office integration your company may have (such as Compeat, Restaurant365, etc.).
💡 See the Integrations section and send Client Support a request to discuss your needs. Refer to the following article for more information: Back Office Integration.
Some examples of how the catalog can be used include:
- Finding the distributor(s) that deliver a product or product category.
- Mapping products received to your back-office system for margin analysis using the Retailer Line-Item Number or General Ledger Code columns.
- Classifying dollars spent on product categories.
- Bulk editing products and creating custom product categories to better match your internal accounting process.
- Adding in your price book’s IDs to the Retailer Line-Item Number.
- Downloading the catalog as a CSV file.
Editing Products
Editing products individually or in bulk is possible within Product Catalog. You can edit a product's Category, Retailer Line-Item Number, and/or General Ledger Code. Individual edits appear immediately in the catalog, search filters, and product counts, while bulk edits will reflect the following day. Please note that bulk edits in mobile view are not possible at this time.
💡 To add, customize, and keep track of product categories and their GL Codes, go to Product Catalog > Catalog Settings. Click here for more information: How can I better organize my products using Product Categories?
⚠️ Vendor Item Numbers, or Product Codes, can be edited under Manage Invoices. Read more here: How can I use Product Codes to organize my products?
⚠️ If an item's product code is missing, the Retailer Item Number will be used as a replacement.
To edit a single product:
- Hover over the row and click the pencil icon on the far right, then make your changes.
- Click Save to update the product or Cancel to stop editing.
To bulk edit:
- Check the boxes next to each of the products you want to change.
- Use the bottom toolbar that appears to view the count of selected products and to make changes.
- Click Update once you have finished editing.

Filtering and Sorting
The table is set to alphabetically sort by the Vendor Name column and is also filtered to show only products with unclassified GL codes.
Columns can be added to the table using the ellipses button (three dots) on the far-right side of the header row. Clicking on this button will allow you to add any of the columns listed within the pop-up box to the table.
The table can be further filtered and sorted in the following ways:
- Choose a specific store location using the location dropdown element at the top of the page.
- Use the search bar to populate a specific product or GL code.
- Click on the filter button near the search bar to open the filter pane, where you can choose from a variety of different filters. You can save time by setting the chosen filter and sorting options as your default table setting by toggling the Save as default filter button. You can also clear all filters applied by clicking Reset All Filters at the bottom of the pane.
- Change the sort order of a column within the table by clicking on a column’s name in the header row.
- Click the ellipses button within the table to include more columns and data.
Downloading the Catalog
You can download your entire product catalog or just the filtered view on the screen. To download the entire catalog, select Download All under More Actions.
To download the screen, select Download Current View. This will export the products from your screen. For example, if you filter by Beer in the portal, your CSV will only show the products classified within the Beer category.
