Payments sent by mail may be delayed, go missing after arriving in the office, or arrive damaged.
Fintech can reissue a check if delayed or missing after 30-days. If your check has been damaged or torn then you may want to return the check before trying to cash it. Below are the common inquiries on check reissues and the suggested steps.
Mailing Delays: Checks are mailed on Mondays. If Monday is a holiday then the check will be sent out on the next business day. Seasonal mailing delays from the post office can be expected toward the end of the year. This is a normal delay and checks should not be reissued unless it has been over 30 days.
Missing Payments: Fintech maintains a 30-day void-and-reissue policy on checks. If you have a check that has not arrived 30 days after the Check Issue Date then please contact our Service Department. The team will verify the payment status and begin the Stop Payment Process.
Damaged Checks: If your check was received and is damaged do not attempt to cash the check. Some banks may refuse the check or apply it incorrectly. Instead, please return the damaged check to the below address and include a note regarding the reissue request for the damaged check.
