How to Submit a Price Book Template

A price book template is used by vendors to submit all new items, price changes and store expansions to Fintech | SBT.

With a price book template, vendors add the required information and upload it to the SBT Fintech Portal. Changes to the price book require at least 30 days before taking effect.

When the price book is uploaded, Fintech | SBT will complete the setup process.

⚠️Do not begin delivery until you receive emailed confirmation that the retailer has approved your request and that setup is complete. Fintech cannot guarantee payment if product is delivered prior to approval and setup at the retailer.

Vendor ID. You can find this Vendor ID under your user profile under your username drop down. Please use the Support button if you need additional assistance with finding the Vendor ID.

Numbers only, no text.

Product Description.

Add the product name.

12 Digit UPC

If there is a 12-digit UPC, there is no need to fill out column D for 13 digits. UPCs should be 12 digits, EAN or ISBN should be 13 digits.  For example, UPC should look like 123456789101.

If there is a leading zero or removing the dash causes you to lose the full 12 digit UPC or puts the value into scientific notation, put an apostrophe at the beginning of the number.

Suggested Retail Price.

This is the retail price of an item as suggested by the vendor (the price paid by the consumer). If this is a price change, add the new retail price that will be effective.

Wholesale Cost
. This is what the vendor charges the retailer. If this is a price change, put the new wholesale cost that will be effective.

⚠️Enter the amount. Do not use excel formulas. This will cause amounts to be skewed and potentially import an incorrect cost. If you need to use a formula for calculations, please copy and paste the final number as a value afterward to ensure the cell itself is not a formula before sending the price book.

Requested Start Date. Effective date for this product. We require a minimum of 30 days prior to the requested effective date. For example, if you are sending an price book on October 1st, the requested start date should be October 31st or later.

Column H is only needed if this price will only be effective for a certain amount of time.
